ABC'S OF SALVATION

DO YOU KNOW YOUR ABC'S?

Salvation is as easy as A-B-C! The most difficult task about being saved has already been done. It was accomplished by Jesus Christ! What remains is considerably easier than what He did to make it possible. Yet there is something we must do. We call it the ABC’s of salvation. Here they are in simple terms:

ADMIT:

We must ADMIT that we are sinners. Why? Only through admittance do we understanding our depravity and the sinful state that we are in. Romans 3:23 states that “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God!” This is the first step of the repentance process.

BELIEVE:

We must BELIEVE that Jesus died for sinners like you and me. Romans 5:8 says “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

CONFESS & CALL:

We Must CONFESS with our mouth that He is Lord & CALL on His Name and the Bible says that we shall be saved: Romans 10:9 "says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:13 says "For 'whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'"

Now, if you haven't done this please do so now! (You really Don't have to wait to go to church to do this!) God is waiting on you and we are praying for you!

UNDERSTANDING SALVATION

Definition

Salvation comes from the Greek word soteria, which means "deliverance, preservation and safety." It primarily involves deliverance from the bondage of sin (Romans 3:20-23; Galatians 5:1). Salvation also includes deliverance from enemies ( Luke 1:71), sickness and disease ( Isaiah 53:4 Matthew 8:17 1 Peter 2:24).

Salvation is a gift that is made available to those who repent, believe and confess that Jesus is Lord and that He died and rose from the dead to save mankind ( Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9-10). This gift cannot be earned through good deeds or by simply being a "good person" ( Ephesians 2:8; 1 Timothy 1:9). It is a matter of faith (acting out on what you believe according to God's Word concerning salvation).
