We greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are so happy to welcome you to our ministry webpage. We hope to be of service to the families of Union Baptist Church.
Our mission is to help the Senior Pastor fulfill his vision of helping to build strong, godly families and reaching out to the local community with the message of the love of Jesus. This "diakonkos" (Greek for servant) ministry is described in Titus 2. We are to love the Lord Jesus Christ and minister especially to other women as described in Titus 2:3-5; "Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God." We do this by setting a godly example to others of sincerity, integrity, confidentiality, trustworthiness, and striving to be a Proverbs 31 woman.
Our tasks include but are not limited to:
Supporting the Senior Pastor and the pastoral staff
Visiting and helping those on our sick and shut-in lists
Building relationships through one-on-one and group fellowship
Primary responsibility for the preparation of Communion
Primary responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of the clothing for baptisms
